The following terms and conditions apply to all vehicle movements arranged with On Point Vehicle Logistics.
Bookings
All verbally agreed movements must be confirmed by email, with an order number provided if necessary.
Vehicle Collection, Delivery & Appraisal
All vehicles moved by On Point Vehicle Logistics are subject to an exterior inspection and written damage report signed by both parties before departure. Upon delivery, our drivers request a signature confirming the vehicle’s condition. Once the vehicle has been inspected and signed off at the point of handover, On Point Vehicle Logistics accepts no further liability and cannot be held responsible for any future claims regarding its cosmetic condition or roadworthiness.
Vehicle appraisals are based on the driver’s visual assessment at the time of collection and are subject to available light and weather conditions. Road tests are not included unless specifically requested in writing at the time of booking.
Damage in Transit
Standard motor trade insurance policies do not cover punctures, glass damage, or chips/damage from road debris. These incidents are deemed no fault of On Point Vehicle Logistics as they can occur despite careful handling. If you wish to insure against such damage, please inform us by email at the time of booking. A charge of £4.50 + VAT applies for this service.
Where On Point Vehicle Logistics accepts responsibility for vehicle damage (excluding punctures, glass damage, or chips from road debris), an independent repair estimate and a valid invoice are required to process the claim.
Vehicle Breakdowns
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, with a valid MOT, before requesting a driven movement. If a breakdown occurs through no fault of an On Point Vehicle Logistics driver, authorisation will be sought to obtain recovery quotes for transport to a specified location. Recovery costs are the client’s responsibility and will be added to your invoice. Waiting time from the point of breakdown until the vehicle resumes movement is charged at £7.50 + VAT per 30 minutes, plus (if applicable) relocation costs for the driver to reach the original destination.
Late Arrivals
Our drivers communicate any anticipated delays when time schedules have been agreed upon. While On Point Vehicle Logistics plans routes carefully, unforeseen incidents such as traffic, accidents, or public transport delays may occur. We make every effort to keep the client fully informed of any delays.
Waiting Time
Drivers are allocated 30 minutes for vehicle collection or delivery at a dealership. For customer handovers, drivers are allocated 60 minutes to allow time for vehicle demonstrations and paperwork. Additional waiting time is charged to the dealership at a rate of £7.50 + VAT per 30 minutes after the initial waiting period. This charge covers the costs and scheduling disruptions caused by delays.
Cancellation and Aborted Journeys
Due to the advance planning and scheduling of driver workload, any cancellation after midday on the business day before, or on the day of a scheduled vehicle movement, incurs a full aborted movement charge equal to the original quoted amount. If the driver has been pre-booked onto a flight, ferry, or train, the full aborted charge applies for any cancellation after the booking confirmation.
Payment of Invoices
For clients with an account, On Point Vehicle Logistics invoices are due within 14 days of job completion. If an order number has been requested but not provided, the invoice remains due by the stated date. Clients without an account must provide payment in full before the vehicle movement takes place.
These terms and conditions ensure clarity and mutual understanding in all transactions with On Point Vehicle Logistics.
